"Be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of Glory shall come in" (Psalm 24:7). It is also a symbol of our victory through Christ. "He shall receive the crown of life which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him" (James 1:12). The crown is often combined with a Latin cross, called The Cross and Crown. This signifies that all who bear their crosses in this life as Christians will receive the crown of glory in the life to come.
